History of Pasta
Fresh Pasta – the food of the twenty first century
Pasta has been around for thousands of years and is believed to have originated in China or Arabia and probably travelled via the Greeks to the Etruscans to the Romans. The much loved fresh pasta was well established in Sicily, Campania and Liguria and the western planes of the Po Valley by 1499 when there are numerous references to the use of Lasagne and other varieties.
Today fresh pasta, an easy to prepare and nutritious food, is highly popular and forms a major part of numerous diets throughout the world.
Pasta Reale is proud of it’s origins, products and people, which have helped to make us the largest and only full range fresh pasta producer in the UK and is famed for its production of quality and tasty fresh pasta.
